Kensington Community Centre
Alterations and additions to existing community hall

Project Value $3,040,400

The works under contract were for the extension and refurbishment of an existing heritage significant building converting it into a community hall including significant external landscaping and civil works for Randwick City Council.

The building is clad with a combination of glazing and brickwork with metal and tiled roofing.

Once the building was enclosed and water tight internal fitout works including kitchen, toilets, change rooms, joinery, feature timber flooring, services and the like to provide the community space.

Externally existing bowling greens were transformed into a great communal space for local families to utilise including open grassed areas, landscaped areas, concrete and brick paved hardstand area, basketball court and new carpark.

The project was completed in April 2017.
